One more week until school's out...and one more week until Summer Reading Program begins! This year the theme is Get A Clue, and the summer will be full of mysteries.

We begin with an excursion to the California Science Center for their brand spankin' new exhibit called Goosebumps: The Science of Fear. There is a mandatory orientation on Thursday, July 5th, 2-4pm. The orientation will not last the full 2 hours. I will go over what the exhibit is all about, the rules we all gotta follow, permission slips will be handed out, and then I will be available for questions from Teens and Parents until 4pm. Seating is limited, so register NOW by calling the Downey City Library Adult Info Desk @ 562.904.7360 x32
Goosebumps: The Science of Fear
While we are at the CA Science Center, we will also see one of their IMAX films. The film has not been decided on yet. Right now it is between "Dinosaurs Alive in 3D", "Deep Sea 3D" (narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet), and "Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France". As soon as the decision is made, I will post it with a link to the movie synopsis/trailer.
